In 2023, I worked alongside a large group of designers to put on Murdoch's Creative Media Showcase. As part of the branding team, I helped develop a cohesive brand for the event and physical promotional items like invitations and posters. Through this project, I got comfortable designing as a team and working with a large group of people.

Each year, Murdoch University chooses a completely unique theme for their creative showcase.

In 2023, Kinetica encapsulates the aura of energy, movement and change students over the course of their creative degrees go through as they grow. Each student brings their own individual energy when they enter the campus. When brought together amongst our collaborative student body, it creates a powerful and creative kinetic force. The Creative Media Showcase for 2023 was a celebration of this dynamic kinetic energy and a representation of creative student experiences and perspectives at Murdoch University.

As a part of the branding and promotion team, it was our job to create the physical touchpoints that promoted the event and the touchpoints that enhanced the experience.

These pinwheels were given as freebies on the night, adding to the experience.

Theses invitations are examples of touchpoints used for promotion.

These brochure style invitations were left around Murdoch's library and given to local high schools. A QR code is on the back for guests to RSVP to the event.

A giftbox was given out to all attendees on the night, with goodies that reinforced the theme of the showcase.

The book was created by the publication team, however we worked closely with them to make sure it fit the branding of the event.

8 weeks into planning the event we held a stakeholder presentation. We gathered up important stakeholders and presented them our ideas and designs, which was a great opportunity to gain some feedback.

Making sure our stakeholder's needs and desires were met was part of what made this event a success.
